August 2008 Coverage Counsel Poll

This month's Coverage Counsel poll relates to the Direct DJ/Late Notice/Prejudice bill that was recently passed and signed.

Question: With the passage and signing of the Direct DJ/Late Notice/Prejudice bill, will the amount of late notice litigation in the New York courts:
  1. Increase
  2. Decrease
  3. Stay the same.

I've already heard divergent views on this question from industry insiders, some prognosticating that liability insurers will be more reluctant than ever to disclaim for late notice.

What do you think?

Are you kidding? This is a gift to coverage attorneys. God bless the New York Legislature, anything they can do to create more litigation, that corrupt and incompetent gang of thieves will do.
