Chapter 388 of the New York Laws of 2008 made important changes to New York's Insurance Law that went into effect on January 17, 2009. In this 30-minute webinar, Roy Mura will review the three major changes this legislation made that affect liability insurers doing business in New York:
1. direct declaratory judgment actions are now allowed; 2. prejudice for late notice disclaimers is now required; and 3. disclosure of liability coverage and limits upon request is now required. Attendees will learn what claims and policies these new laws apply to, what the new requirements are, and how to determine whether the "old" rules or "new" rules apply to a particular claim matter. Register now for this timely review of these important new rules. If you will be attending from a business environment, check with and make sure your IT department allows connection to GoToMeeting/GoToWebinar. |
